I am going to try and use this page to add any news or information about chiari and related disorders. If any one has any news they would like to share pleasae let me know.
JULY 2010
This website was started as a project for a degree. I was working on my degree before being diagnosed with Chiari and continued to work on it after my diagnosis. Although I have spent a great deal of time in and out of hospitals with numerous problems i still wanted to finish my degree. on Jule 13th I graduated in Liverpool, United Kingdom with an upper second class degree with honours in Education Studies and Special Needs.
This announcement is not just to blow my own trumpet but to also let people know that you can still achieve your goals even with this condition. I may be very negative about this condition (and the surgery) but i still never gave up on my degree and am proud to have finished it. I have been given ill health retirement from work in a job i loved but this will not stop me giving as I hope one day I will be able to return to a new job.
Good luck to everyone else going through some hard times - dont give up!
